DID you see the price drop of the 23" HD display? From 3499 to 1999. That is a HUGE drop. Now I might actually be able to afford one.

iLife failure? Are you talking about the one week delay? Wow, I would hate to work for you...

I did like the OS 9 systems link on the page. At least they keep it as an option. This also makes the "1.25 GHz is as fast as the G4 can go" people quiet down...

Ugh, this is making my 733 look... Ummm... Old...

Not bad but still not the killer powermac is was hoping for to replace my two year old dual 450. Curious what the price in euros will be ( belgian store still down ), the new 20 screen looks really nice and maybe I will buy it to replace my 17 inch studio display. I think I will wait another six months for the killer G5, no problem my current G4 is fast enough...

Why is only the 1,25 Ghz. available with OS 9 ? Is the 1,42 Ghz. technically incapable of running OS 9 ? Why would they offer only the 1,25 version with OS 9 and not the top 1,42 version if not for technical reasons ?

Why? The same reason they gave OS9 a funeral? Steve wants OSX to proliferate...

Anyway. Now I dunno whether to get a 12" iBook or a new 1.25GHz tower... to replace my 400.

Also, I *have* to get the 23" HD now. Why?

EDIT: They should also line up the guy that does Apple's text colours next to the guy that named Airport Extreme and shoot them both.

Grey on white? Light green on white? Jesus Christ. I'm glad I have good vision, but some people don't... that's horrid.

How come the Power Mac is no longer DUAL 1ghz on the low end? Is that a typo or is it really single processor? Would anyone buy that when they could get a DUAL 1.25 for $300 more?

*Pats dual-800* You've still got some punch, baby. *Quicksilver sniffles*

Cool update, on the day as someone predicted. So, what do you all think this means for August/September? G4 revision, or 970? I know what we all want, but what do you think?

Why not just get the 12" powerboot. It's about the same price if you get the one with the combo drive. For 200 more you can get the onw with a super drive.

Tough decision isn't it.

The difference between the 500 iBook and the 800 is very noticeable.

I'm actually considering the 800 iBook again because... well, I never buy revision A machines, which the PowerBook still is. There are always problems. The iBook is a proven machine and design. Superb.
