Is there a way to hook up, say, a monitor like (http://buy.overstock.com/images/products/L409185.jpg) this to a playstation2 or xbox?

Yeah, I thought perhaps there'd be some adapter to do so. Or perhaps a cheap way of running it through the G5.

Well, you could use a PCI TV card like the Miglia Alchemy TV DVR http://miglia.com/products/video/alc...dvr/index.html to get the video console signal through the Power Mac.

I swear I've seen VGA->svid adapters.
Is there such a thing?

Wouldn't this make the screen a bit laggy? While inconsequential for viewing, I could see it causing a problem with gaming.

probably, but those are both analog signals. The Apple displays take a DVI signal. The only adapter I know of to go just from VGA to DVI (not to mention Svideo/Composite to VGA) costs upwards of $400. And pretty much all of those converters have some slight video lag, as subego said, which makes them pretty useless for gaming.

The lag of a TV tuner for a computer would render the games unplayable.

There is no lag with a PCI TV tuner, at least with this particular Miglia model.

That would be quite impressive, every PCI/USB/FW TV tuner that I've seen or used adds about a half second of lag (between what you see on the screen and what you would see if you hooked a TV up to the same cable).

Besides, the Apple model shown does NOT have a DVI input, it has ADC, which requires a $100 adapter to accept a standard DVI signal.
