It's a shame. Although, from a creative standpoint, the format of the show was such that it would have been difficult to drag it on for many seasons anyway (think "Soap").

Son Of A Bitch! WTF??????????????? After that high level of promotion, all of it was for naught? Fox sure knows how to kill quality shows.

IMHO, the show was terrific! Too terrific. It took smarts, sophistication and frankly, a little work to really appreciate the show. I ALWAYS felt there was stuff I was 'missing' or jokes I couldn't appreciate superficially. I found I would record the shows but because I can seldom focus on JUST WATCHING THE SHOW and doing nothing else, I always put it off until I knew I'd be able to give it ALL my attention.

Work.

But, the portrayals and plotlines and jokes and all were/are sublime.

In an aside to the executive producers Howard & Grazer, (Ron & Brian) A&E, anyone?

I think it's too good a show to let it just go away. It will return SOMEWHERE else, I think.

Maybe if there is a jump in DVD sales, Fox might bring it back.

I've pretty much given up on them. I'm surprised Fox hasn't cancelled 24 yet. I seems like every show I have an interest in they cancel.

Futurama
Undeclared
Family Guy (it has returned but for how long?)
Married with Children
Herman's Head
and so on...

Slick shoes?! Are you crazy?!

The idiots that watch fox and all of its garbage programming are not going to want a intelligent comedy like AD.

Just look at Fox's trash lineup and tell me otherwise. (The only exception is the Simpsons)

Remember that show about people eating gross stuff?

I'm no fox apologist, but I'll give you fear factor. That show is/was utter garbage, primarily due to Joe Rogan.

Simpsons and family guy are huge winners.

I think Fox is watched by people from all walks of life...not just garbage.

Yup, Simpsons, family guy and 24 are good shows. The rest is trailer park TV.

Trading Spouses? Renovate my family? Cops? And lets not forget all those crazy "wildest videos" shows.

I left a voicemail for minneapolis' fox station's executive office. I plan on calling there a lot because this is a rubbish decision, they won't even finish the season, what garbage. I hate Fox.

But let's be clear, Fox, just like ALL shows and networks have a target demographic and the demographics for the network definitely AIN'T the same as those for AD.

Fox skews younger and lower education than AD, I'd guess and I'd say also that AD pulls more males than the network in general.

IMHO, I think everyone in the industry recognizes this isn't good-bye for the show but just adios, we'll see you on the flip side!
Give petty people just a little bit of power and watch how they misuse it! You can't silence the self doubt, can you?

True, Fox's general demographic is probably a bit younger and less mature than the average AD watcher.

for me, it's like this:
I think it requires more general cultural knoweldge to understand the full enslaught of comedy in a Family Guy or Simpsons episode than an AD episode.
AD requires more of an emotional quotient to fully grasp the hilarity. Family Guy, Simpsons, AD are all great shows, just different. I enjoy all of them. They, however, impose no implication on education levels.

TV sucks. I have zero faith in ANY network these days. Everything that is different and worthwhile either gets canceled or assimilated to pacify the lowest common denominator, AKA the average american.

Incidentally this december will mark one year since I got rid of my tv completely.

I think it's time to set everyone straight with their TV network stereotypes:

NBC is for gays. Myth Shows like Apprentice and Joey attract some straight viewers.
CBS is for old people True
FOX is for rednecks. Myth House, Family Guy, Simpsons, Malcolm, and other shows are generally clever.
UPN is for black people. True
WB is for girls. True
ABC has no viewers False Has had very good ratings lately.

i watched the first episodes till i heard there wasnt enough people watching it....i then stopped watching it as much knowing lameass fox would cancel it, and figure i could enjoy the DVD's after its all said and done so that it would still feel new. its one of the best televion shows on now a days and it's unfortunate that it's end is because of fox execs instead of the cast gracefully leaving the program....oh well R.I.P.
