Apple has sent out a memo to developers this week, urging them to localize Mac and iOS apps as well as titles on the iBookstore, notes
AppleInsider. The message is being delivered through iTunes Connect, and points out that both the iOS and Mac App Stores are accessible in 155 countries and 40 languages. "In addition, the App Store editorial team is always looking for great apps that are localized," Apple
writes.
On Tuesday, the company also opened up a Chinese version of its Support forums. The venue should make it easier for Chinese product owners to complain to Apple, or at least find other people who can help troubleshoot. China has become an increasingly important market for Apple, but has lagged behind in terms of both products and services. Recently state media took aim at Apple's warranty policies, forcing a
rare apology and about-face from CEO Tim Cook.
