This new blog-spamming trend.

A while back, someone kept starting lounge threads containing nothing but a title and a link to his blog. He eventually got baninated, but similar stuff is happening these days. It's a little different in that the posts are usually about Apple and have an extra sentence or two before the link, and the user has actually participated in some other threads. It's still really annoying, especially since the links are again to barely-informative blog posts (with IntelliTXT), which only then link to an actual source.
Anyway, I suppose strictly speaking, this isn't spam, but could the rules be tweaked a little to make it a no-no? And could a mod please ask the current perp to knock it off, since he/she doesn't seem to care when other users do so?
Thanks..

It is spam.
It's just chopped up in small pieces and hidden in your food.

'cause it's not an advertisement, it's a link to a crappy "story." So if we're talking letter, not spirit, here, the rules don't forbid it.
But if the mods tell me it is spam in their view, then I'll happily start clicking the Report Abuse link.
Kevin: teh funny!

I thought I wasn't supposed to start threads talking smack on specific users. It's only one now, but it seems like it could be a pattern, from people who want more blog traffic, to increase ad revenue or just feel loved. That was a long-ass sentence.
Anyway, just wanted to double-check with the mods whether we can/should start reporting this kinda thing as spam if it becomes more common.

I find it interesting that chinatown and DCapple both began spamming the forums at almost the same time. In fact, DCapple's first posts were made in chinatown's second thread. I'm guessing that these two either know each other or are the same individual.

DC you are a spammer. If you don't think you are, you need to reevaluate your position.
