be able to hold all my music, without having to keep a copy of the music on my internal HD. why ? well whats the point of having two identical copies of my music files ? its like a waste of space. if there was a way it could distinguish the machine it is connected to, it would be great.
This way you can connect to your mac and play the music using iTunes, and then if you want to carry it around, unplug it and move around, without having music on ur machine.
Ripping a CD ? rip it directly to the iPod ? i think this will definately help save space.

Thoughts ? Comments ? Suggestions ?

Just turn off the automatic syncing option and go manual.

I want my iPod to.....

be able to hook into my 802.11b network....

If there were to be such a device, that could clip into by dash like a car stereo faceplate...I could transfer music wirelessly to my car..
