Absolutely nothing spectacular at all...it's not THAT MUCH SMALLER! Still can't understand why you wouldn't save up an extra $50...

Because some people who are cheap as hell will buy anything no matter how little less it cost, some people don't have more then 4 gigs of songs and don't want the extra hard drive storage.
Not to mention it is smaller and comes in nice colours.
I agree with you though but it seems 100,000 people really want it.

I really want one.
I used to have a 15 gig,
Also I found I only listen to maybe 200 songs, All the rest I forget I have
Lately I have been into books on tape, so that is what will mainly be one it.
Plus the silver goes perfect with my 15' 1.25ghz
Many people love apple stuff cause it looks good, and I like these better for the fact that they are alot more scratch resistant than the older ones.
$250, $300, $400, whatever, I just want what I want and the price comes second.
Alot of apple users are like thid I believe.

it always gets me...i hear people saying "i'd buy it if it was $50 less", and i hear people saying "just pay $50 more and get the 15gb." dunno...just makes me chuckle.
personally, i'd go with the mini: 1. i don't need my 10 days of music with me wherever i go...i'm more of a "take a few mix cd's with me" type of person, so this would fit the bill perfectly 2. the scrollwheel with buttons is what should've been done on the 3G in the first place 3. i like metal

I just bought a new 15gig 3G ipod and was looking at the mini asa possible purchase. The size is nice on the mini as is the style. But I know i won't be flashing any ipod mini or supersized one here in L.A. I don't want to get mini-mugged . So the style factor isnt that important. The 11+ gigs are though.
I might get a mini in its 2nd gen version though just for the hell of it. In Silver please.
