I don't hear Voices!

It's my own fault really.
When I first got the iMac I removed everything from the drive that I figured I wouldn't need. So, now that I want to get the Voices to work again, I can't. I re-installed the Speech extentions, put the voices folder back into the extentions folder, but no dice. The voices options in the speech control panel are greyed out, not available.
Can someone tell me exactly what extentions to use for BOTH speech recognition and Voices on my iMac Rev.B? I can get the speech recognition to work but not the voices. Any ideas?

Yeah, I've been there. It did not help me much. All I can find there is a lot of PR speak. Sure I could download all new software, but unfortunately I don't have a net connection for the iMac right now. (yes I am writting on a PC for the moment, it's a long story...)
Also it is unfortunate that when I do a search on Apple web page (quoted in above message) for the word voices, I get pages on some guy's Arctic trip! Go figure!
So, can anyone tell me, short of re-installing sys 8.5, then updateing that to my current sys 8.6, just where does the Voices folder belong? Exactly what extention makes it work? Do I use MacInTalk Pro or MacInTalk 3? Anyone?

The voices folder goes in the extensions folder, and you should put MacInTalk 3 and MacInTalk Pro in the extensions folder too. You also need the Speech manager extension and the Speech cdev (duh). Off the top of my head, I think thats it.
Good luck.

Thank you Cipher13! MacInTalk 3 and MacInTalk Pro, eh? I thought it was one or the other. I'll give it a try.
