Hi - i have a new 876 with OS 9.2 and a new problem: every time I start my Mac, the sound prefs have been forgotten. (Yes I trashed the prefs file...). Anybody same prob or solution??
Regards, Michael

I haven't had any problems with my machine (iBook running OS 9.2) but have heard that the latest G4s are shipping with 9.2.1 which may correct the problem...

One thing to try is to reinstall your sound control panel and zap the PRAM. Rebuilding the desktop wouldn't hurt either. Each are pretty painless trouble shooting steps that can correct a variety of issues...

Ive seen this happen when Cubase was installed. I think one way around it is to change you prefs then go and Lock the actual Prefs file (in System > Preferences) and it should remain unchanged on re-boot.
