Bookmark that. And let you be never offended again!
MacUpdate is the same every day, you go there expecting to see a useful list of what's been update (hence the url) and it's rather a jarring shock when you get a black and white page of religious mumbo-jumbo, requiring you to scroll down, read through the text and locate the small link to "continue to macupdate" - it's like trying to find the free player on real's page. Yes, it is their site and they can put ****** up there for all i care but saying you weren't forced to read it is as valid as "OUR LAWYERS HAVE SAID WE REQUIRE A WARNING SO IF YOU ARE UNDER 18 OR FIND THIS PICTURE OFFENSIVE PLEASE DON'T LOOK AT IT".
How silly. Seriously qn, you have some serious issues with Christianity you need to deal with.

If you believe someone posting a web-page celebrating their beliefs is "weird" I would say it had more to do with your own personal bias. And little to do with them doing anything "weird"

BING!

I was thinking about that as well. I know lots of non-religious people. Only a few anti-religious.

The funny part about that is, the latter are usually the ones preaching tolerance.

Prove that to me. You have a habit of making statements like the above where you post personal opinions (nothing wrong with that) and treat them as facts (everything wrong with that).

Who is arguing if you had the right or not Mastrap? Not I. I just said the fact you DID feel that it was "weird", says more about you, then what they did.

No one is arguing about your right to feel that way. So I don't really understand why you are even trying to make a point about such a thing.

Prove what exactly. I've said a few things in there.

As far as the preach tolerance, I've seen qn preach about tolerance and equal rights, and how hate sucks and such. But he indeed came in here and made intolerant hateful posts.

Take SWF for example. He is always preaching tolerance. (For what he believes in anyhow.. seems to be a trend) but doesn't tolerate any opinions but his own.

Kevin, the only point I was making is that I was aware that my post was just my personal opinion, nothing more. I think what they did was weird, you think I am biased and that's fine too.

So, whatever.

The ones in the green and red are 2 days oldish, they're all within 6 months.

MacNN is easier to pick up in than a cruise bar i'd reckon.

I disagree with both of the examples you provided. And anecdotal evidence from an internet notice board doesn't prove a blanket statement like 'The funny part about that is, the latter are usually the ones preaching tolerance.'

But be that as it may, I think the hookup between Athens and qnxde should provide some much needed entertainment.

Have you gotten your "permission" yet? I would be really interested in what they "replied".

I want to say that I overreacted. MacUpdate can do whatever they want and I want the christians here to know that I respect them. I was just taken by surprise, since I didn't think macupdate would pull that sort of thing. I'm not looking for an argument. Peace.

That you (and many others round here) hide behind a veil of tolerance, until it's something that you don't personally like... however, when that does happen, you're no better than any other small-minded klan member.

What I'm saying is, it doesn't matter. MacUpdate should post what they want, without having the girls around here getting their knickers in a knot. Hell, it's not like the Christians here make a scene over Landover (I've even bought things from them before).

"Free speech is only free if we like it."

Right?

1. Macupdate wasn't a joke. It was the expression of the owners religious beliefs. Do I disagree with the way he presented these? Yes, I do. Does he have every right to present them the way he did and not give a damn about my opinions? Of course he does.

2. Nick, in my opinion, made an exasperated joke. I am sure he'll come along soon and give you a heads up one way or the other.

3. There is no free speech on macnn. It's private property, free speech rights do not apply.

Oh I will, - the second you post the reply you got.

Looking at that page, I would actually be surprised if the author is a christian (as it would be more detrimental to his or her cause than beneficial).

It's so damn cheesy and badly done, that I'm actually ashamed I didn't get the joke in the first place.

I really need to lighten up.
