With Quartz Extreme approaching, I'm curious about the percentage of Cube owners that have a video card capable of taking advantage of it. If you don't have one of the options listed in the poll, please explain below. Thanks!

Ati Radeon 32 mb - replaced the fan with a passive heatsink. modified it about 6 months ago - not a single heat/screen probleem. Did buy a backup GeForce 2 card in case it does die <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

I upgraded to the Cube Radeon (with fan) when it became available - but the card died (presumably through overheating) with the stripy screen.

I've now got a Geforce2MX from a tower, and a Geforce 3 waiting in a bag, for when my 1 GHz Powerlogix upgrade arrives

I bought my Cube CTO with the Radeon. I have never been more glad I spent a few extra bucks, nor have I ever been happier that I bought a computer that was later discontinued.

Hmmmm.... looks like maybe I should have been more specific with my poll questions. I originally intended for everybody who added an aftermarket GeForce2 MX to list that down at the bottom, and only count those that came stock with the GF2MX to pick that option in the poll. I have to admit, one of my goals with this poll is to find out if someone has an original equipment GF2MX, and possibly get them to post a picture or at least the dimensions of the heat sink... Seems like all the postings elsewhere on these boards are by people that bought aftermarket, so there should be a lot of aftermarket GF2MX responses. Only Milo Waye listed an aftermarket GF2MX in a post, so does that mean that the 5 votes for GF2MX are only from people who got the OEM card, or does that include people who added the card later...

[edited for clarification]

Well, is there such a thing as a Cube version GeForce2MX (i.e., one with an extra large heatsink)??? Every picture of an Apple GF2MX has the same heatsink.

BTW, I have a GF2MX in my Cube - it was a pull from a tower. Works fine.

I added an Elsa Geforce 2MX card to my Cube and it was constantly overheating. I was lucky and was able to change my Geforce 2MX with a Mac OEM Geforce 2MX card from a G4 Tower. The PC Geforce 2MX card works great in the tower and the OEM Apple Geforce 2MX card works great in my Cube. No fans or nothing extra added. Great little upgrade.

I yanked my OEM Rage 128 and placed an OEM GeForce2 MX in there.
(I have an ADC monitor, so I had to have a card with an ADC port.)

Fanless Radeon at home (for now)

I'm gonna see what happens with Jaguar and if I decide to get a GeForce3 at home, I'll put the Radeon into the Cube at the office.
