Anyone know of a video playback app that's Retina aware (and probably hooked into the OS) so it can playback at 1:1 to actual pixels without downscaling and upscaling?
E.g. playing a 1920x1080 video on a 13" RMBP (2560x1600 pixels) set for 1440x900 scaled. I want a zoom option where the player will render the 1920x1080 video on 1920x1080 physical pixels without downscaling it to 1080x675 (the number of virtual pixels corresponding to 1920x1080 real pixels) and then having the OS/display upscale it to 1920x1080 real pixels.
Video in QuickTime X, QuickTime 7, and VLC all look fuzzy on the RMBP display compared to an external 1920x1080 display, leading me to believe they are downscaling to the virtual display size and being upscaled.
