hey guys, got a small problem with my ipod (30 video), you know how you can set a volume limit and to deactivate it you need a 4 didget code, well my pocked activated it the other day in the pub and now i cant deactivate it and i can barley hear music through the ear phones. i've tried 0000, 1111, 2222, ect but no luck, and i recently formatted/restored so not sure if that would of changed the old code i had one it, if i could remember it. any ideas of how i can deactivate to volume limit with out the code, or change my code?

You make it sound like the slimline keyboard is somehow at fault!

Maybe this is the time where you explain how a pocket can unlock your iPhone and then activate the code ?

P and Y are four letters apart (and actually not even hit with the same hand, if you're a touch-typist).

I'm also a little saddened that my earlier joke sank like a stone.

So having never bothered to even look at any of my iPods to try locking them, can you explain how yours got locked? In any case, as noted by above in Spheric Harlot's first post in this thread, connect the iPod to your computer, which will unlock it. I think you can then set a new code without needing the old one...but even if you can't, you should be able to just restore the iPod and set a new code.

Same procedure for unlocking the volume as for unlocking the UI...
