MacBook CD2 worth $300 more than CD?

I have the chance to get a MacBook CD for $300 less than the current Core Duo 2 model.
Both are refurbished but with complete warranty.
Same mHz at 1.83, HD and Combo drive.
My uses would primarily be for surfing and the odd Illustrator work. Does the added speed and perhaps running cooler warrant an additional $300?
I'm thinking not, but would love to hear from those who have actually had some real world use between the two.

go for the discount. buy some extra ram, perhaps a nice extra 19" tft.
if you have money to spare I would buy the latest model

i just want to add :
it's quite simple, if you are used to using a dual-core intel then you will be happier with the core2dual. If you are just like me and your last mac was 3 years old then you will be so happy with a second to last model already, besides that , you are not a powerapp user.

Well, I already have an iMac DuoCore which is plenty fast for me. It will be my "production" machine while my MacBook would serve me more for admin stuff.
Never tried a DuoCore2, so maybe it's just as well so I won't know what I'm missing.

I'd go for the C2D, or, if going with only the CD get the refurb Blackbook from the online Apple Store. Superdrive, more RAM, larger HD.
The C2D is the latest, and thus greatest macbook, and will probably be much better suited to run Leopard in 64 bits

FWIW, I just bought a C2D MacBook today and I am very impressed with its performance compard to my other Core Duo MacBooks in the office. While the original CD machines are blazingly fast, this C2D MB 2.0/1GB in standard out-of-the-box configuration boots several seconds faster, shuts down faster, and generally performs a bit better all around in our informal side by side tests here in the office. I am happy to have spent just a little more for a machine that I believe will age far less quickly.
