My display is warped to the left & background very dark, I improved the focus by changing the contrast but still skewed. This happened about a year ago, usually fixes if I restart a bunch of times, but not this time.
I'm running os x w/ jag.
Please help!!!

i suspect the analog board in your imac is failing. i work on macs for a living and this is very common in the CRT iMacs. an analog board can run between 130-165, without labor. the analog board converts power from the power supply to drive your screen (crt).

there is a small chance that there is a video problem on your logic board, but i would guess analog board 95%.

Did you upgrade the firmware to 4.1.9 ? I had same problem and was fixed for 3 weeks, but now I think my logic board died again but not sure - tryingt fibnd answers (just doesnmt star t up)

ouch. I can't believe you've been living with that annoying flaw for so long.

maybe it's time to give apple a call for a little friendly bi*ching. might be a brand-spanking-new LCD in your future. worth a shot.
