iMac 350's Extended AppleCare ends @ the end of next month [July 2003] = the Hardrive's constant "high-pitched 'dentist drill'" whinning + CD Player's occasional "washing machine spin drying" sounds need to be checked out....

Can drive 16 miles to CompUSA or 30 miles to independent shop ["S" (Apple Specialist)] = any comment(s) as to which of these Authorized Service Providers will be better to deal w/ @ "Still Under Warranty" ? ? ? ?

Thankx @ Bob= Cleveland, Ohio, w/ the nearest Apple Store about 2 hours drive....

Bob,

I'd opt for that few hour trip down interstate 71 to that Apple store you're talking about.

Not only will you get your current machine checked out by an apple tech. but, you might end up seeing something else there worth the trip (insert new emac or imac here).

I'm so bad, I know.

cheers,
brian
