Does anyone face this on adium:
On MSN, i occasionally get this after typing a first msg to someone, meaning when i initiate a conversation
This appears "Could not send; a connection error occurred."
could it be MSN prob or adium's side?

Yep, get that here as well. Pretty infrequent and hard to nail down as to what causes it. I don't see it using the official client tho' so I'm not sure if it's Adium or the MSN network causing the hiccup.

Yeah, I posted a similar question on another thread below, but no posts.
But my error said:
Adium does not have permission to write to the application's directory! Are you running off a disk image? If not, ask your system administrator for help.

I get that error message when I type a message and close the window immediately after. Through experience, I know that the messages are in fact sending, but the window continues to "pop" back open to deliver the message. I ignore it, but it is annoying.

yes annoying indeed, sometimes cuz of the sudden pop-up makes me anticipate the reply.
Nope not running from a disk image? Are u kiddin' this is such a small file. I got the file directly from the official webby, there was an auto-update lately but i thought it'd solve the prob. O bother..
