I am new to macs so bear with me I got a used g4 powerbook and when I turn it on I am getting a gray screen with a folder that flashes between a 2 faces and a ? mark . what do I do ? I didnt get any cds with this and I was told there was osx on the power book any help would be great thanks

Which Powerbook? If it is older, like a Titanium, you can purchase the OS X retail disks. If it's a recent aluminum Powerbook, you'll need to contact Apple to get disks. Sorry, but flashing folder means a bad OS install. You need the CDs to reinstall.
