This thread is for discussing the movie Beverly Hills Chihuahua. I just went and saw it and really liked it, I'm wondering if anybody else saw it?

Please, let's keep the usual banter and other bullshit out of this thread, okay? Thanks...

Oh, that'll do the trick.

Haven't seen it. Not really interested to, for that matter.

probably because they gave the dogs a mexican accent (disclaimer: I haven't seen the movie, just basing it on the previews)

But it's a movie that is accessable to kids, and chihuauas are associated with Mexico.

Aside from the whole racist argument, does anybody have any comments on the storyline? I was definitely not expecting the whole lost city thing!

I read this thread title as Beverly Hills Cthulhu and thought, "huh, I bet that's a more interesting movie than the one about the damn chihuahua".

Looks like I need my morning tea after all.

And I still think my original thought would make a better movie.
One should never stop striving for clarity of thought and precision of expression.
I would prefer my humanity sullied with the tarnish of science rather than the gloss of religion.

Maybe a separate thread should be created for that, I welcome a little thread on thread competition.

I saw this movie with my gf and her Filipino parents. Originally, I just wanted to go home and find something on HBO, but I got outvoted.

I thought the story line was pretty bad, but it was still somewhat entertaining.

It was good bonding time between all of us, her mom loved it.

Over two years ago John McCain first sounded an early warning regarding the impending release of this movie and nobody cared to listen.

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

Maybe McCain needs to recruit chihuahuas?

I had no interest in seeing the movie. I only saw a quick clip of it though. So I'm judging a book, or movie, by it's cover.

So Edward James Olmos was in this movie, but I couldn't figure out who he was playing... Did any of you?

How many Oscars/Academy Awards do you think Drew Barrymore will be nominated for based on her role in this movie?
