Take a look:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00028DJTY/

Only $270!
USB 2.0

No physical dimensions though... but it looks pretty tiny. Not as small as the iPod mini, though.

Whaddya think? No Mac compatibility, it seems.

I was thinking of the Zen Touch, actually.

24 hours battery life. (!!)
Touch pad control, like an inelegant version of the iPod's wheel.

Apple needs to do something with the battery life.

The Philips looks nice, but after looking at an iPod mini... I don't know, those things are tiny!

The Philips player is one of the worst ever released.

Creative has, in the past, made players that would be good except for the fact that they're too big.

The Zen Touch will fix that problem and will have a battery that will put even Dell's Digital Jukebox, the current battery life leader, to shame.

Competition is heating up.

That Zen touch is a little bigger than my iPod 5Gb.

And even though it has a touch sensitive pad, all the functions have separate buttons as well.

Is it just me, or is that fat? Or is it just the close up.

Philips has the best iPod competitor, design wise.

Nothing can really beat an iPod. I mean. With the white design. Omg. It's just glamourous.
