Yes, that's his real MySpace. And yes, he's offering the song for download entitled, "Don't Download This Song." It's about the problems of downloading and sharing music. One you start with the music, it'll lead to selling crack, and then running over kids with your car.

You can even send an eCard with a download link to the song.

Gods bless Weird Al.

Peter, you didn't miss much. That song is absolutely terrible. The melody sucks, and the lyrics aren't even funny.

He should stick to polkas and knockoffs.

It's a knockoff of those charity songs done by famous people.

Weird Al is great. And I don't think it's supposed to be "good" in the sense that his more traditional satires are. It's supposed to be "stupid" in two senses. First, it points out that it is indeed illegal and wrong to pirate music, no matter how you do it. And it also rips the RIAA and the labels in their attacks on ANYONE who might have an electronic version of a song-like grannies and seven year old girls, and how they say "it's taking money away from the artists," when we all know that the labels don't give a rat's skinny tail about the artists except for how they cash in on them.

So, let it "flow over you" and appreciate that Al thinks the RIAA is as stupid as we do.

I forgot to mention that, unlike 99.999% of all MySpace sites, Al's site is actual viewable by human beings. Really. Solid black background, only the featured song (with CONTOLS for the music!) plays, readable text, just like a real web site!

Well thanks. Now I know that if I see more posts from you in the future that I can feel free to completly ignore anything you have to say from now on, seeing as it won't have any more of a reason or a decent point behind it than the brilliant ones you've already provided.

If you don't find this song and it's hilarious satirical message funny, there is either something deeply wrong with you, you have no sense of humor, or both. I'm going for both in this case, however.

Uh…chill out. Getting that defensive over a joke is just missing the point entirely.

I like the song but I'll never admit to watching Oprah...

Anyways, Amish Paradise is one of my favorite Wierd Al songs ever. He won me as a fan for life with that one. But what can I say, I'm from central Pennsylvania so I'm a sucker for all things Amish.

iREZ, your statement means "there are fewer people who think this song is funny than men who watch Oprah willingly. I disagree. I also disagree with what may be your intended meaning: that people who think this song is funny ARE men who watch Oprah willingly.
