What are the ramifications of using different Date formats? It looks like the default format is 12/31/07. I am thinking about changing it to Dec 31, 2007.

I use a lot of AW spreadsheets where I enter the date as: Dec 31, 2007. This works fine but opening those spreadsheets in iWork and it flags them and new data must be entered as 12/31/07. Am I correct in assuming that AW automatically converts while iWork does not? Also tried opening them with Tables spreadsheet and it flags the dates as well and wants them entered as 12/31/07.

If I change my date format to Dec 31, 2007 will this allow me to enter dates that way in iWork and Tables?

If I change the format will it affect some other application such as Quicken where dates are entered as 12/31/07?

Any other things I should consider if I change formats?

Thanks

You're not going to break your computer by just trying that out.

Your questions are more about the Date Format's impact on other, specific applications. Moving there...
