Upon seeing this help video of the powerful qualities of using ImageMagik.

I downloaded the app from here, but the problem is it requires Xcode to install it, and since I'm not an App developer and can't even download it, I therefore don't see how I can get to first base of properly installing the app?

I ought perhaps note that I'm still using Snow Leopard.

The Snow Leopard installation disc includes an Xcode installer. It is far from the most recent version, but it should work for this.
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.
