Entourage, yet again

Entourage crashes shortly after launch (what else is new) and it seems to be related to adding a mac.com address as an IMAP account (what else is new.)
Inasmuch as I can't get it to stay launched long enough to delete the damn IMAP account, is there any route to "fixing" this short of going to Redmond and upturning a Pepsi on the lawn to show them I mean business?

Do you have any hotmail accounts? If so, remove them from your schedule.
I have a mac.com account and its just fine.
BTW, You know there's a Office forum on Macnn right?

No hotmail account in Entourage X, no; nor any schedules in Entourage X.

Did you have it import Entourage 2001 settings? If so, trash the Entourage X prefs file and rebuild the accounts by hand. That's what solved my crashing in the same situation, at least.

Reinstall it, and make sure you have the latest version. Not to imply that you d/led a Carracho copy...Just to cover all bases.

1. Did you start off with a fresh identity or did you import from Entourage 2001?
2. Disable all your schedules. Do you still crash on launch?
3. Assuming your schedules are disabled, does it crash when specifically checking that IMAP account?
Not a lot of info to go on here...
