I have an old Mac SE with superdrive, a wopping 4mb of RAM and (I think) a 80mb harddrive. I also have all of the original system software and some additional software like Word and Works and a few games.

I would like to sell it. Are ancient Macs such as this worth anything these days? If so, how much?

Thanks.

You could try posting it for sale here or on eBay. I recently bought an SE with a 40 MB drive, 1.4 MB floppy, 4 MB RAM, and a Radius 25 MHz 68020 accelerator card for $16 on eBay. I also bought an SE with a broken hard disk, an external 800k floppy, an internal 800k floppy, and 4 MB RAM from my physics teacher for $5. I'd say $25-$35 would be more suitable for an SE/30, while $5-$15 would be appropriate for an SE, depending on the options. SE/30s are much more expandable (up to 128 MB RAM!) and faster (16 MHz 68030 vs. 8 MHz 68000), so people are more likely to hold onto them and they'll be rarer and more expensive.

The SE/30's were also insanely expensive when they first shipped.
