Software update can't connect

I upgraded to Panther last week and since I have done that I have been unable to connect with software update. It keeps saying "unable to connect to the internet" However I can connect without any trouble using mail, IE and Safari. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Try "Repairing Permissions" and see if that helps at all...

Disk Utility > Select your HD > First Aid Tab > Repair Disk Permissions
