I ordered 1GB shuffle on 12th Jan from UK online store,
and today I got a notice that they finally shipped mine.
Wonder it was shipped from where?
From China or Apple UK store?
Anyone in UK ordered from online store got yours?
Still I have to wait a long way to receive it.

It still scares me why anyone would think that it came from Canada when Apple is located in California.

I ordered my 1GB iPod Shuffle probably 2 days after the keynote and though I had a quoted date of the 28th, it arrived just moments ago (it was shipped out yesterday FedEx overnight)!

I saw all the pictures and the chewing gum pack comparisons, but that *still* doesn't stop me from being shocked at how utterly tiny it is. The pictures just don't translate the incredible compactness.

I was also surprised at how small it is - the pictures don't so it justice - the mini had the same effect, until I held one I didn't know what the big deal was-

You're absolutely right. I got mine today, and I'm stunned by how small this thing is.

Just got an e-mail from Apple that mine shipped out this morning at 1:30 a.m. Got those poor buggers running 24/7 to pump out the shipments. Waterproof case still waiting to ship (by 3/1/05). FedEx says it's leaving from Rialto, Cali.

<Edit>
woo hoo - got it yesterday, so tiny but sounds almost as good as its big brothers. It suffers a little due to no EQ but I have no problem there. I'm really surprised at how slow USB2 really is to FW. I thought the speeds would be more comparable, but USB2 seems 2-3 times slower. Good thing I got the little one. Now I have the smallest and the biggest iPods made. heheheh.

I ordered a 1 GB shuffle on the 13th of January and mine still shows to be shipped on or before 2/14. Maybe this means it will be shipping sooner. I hope so. I wanted to give it as a valentines gift.

In case anyone is interested: I was quoted a 4 week wait time at the Apple Store. I placed an order last night at bestbuy.com for the 1 gig shuffle, and it shipped out today. That will be 48 hours from order to delivery.

If anyone is looking for one, check out BB!

Thanks rcitrin, I ordered one immediately. I guess we will see if they get it out the door.

Are armbands showing up anywhere or have they not shipped any at all yet?

On a related note, did they have them at MacWorld and did anyone see how the shuffle actually connects to it?

thanks,

Just received mine. I guess some people are going to be disappointed -- it actually DOES what Apple says it should, no knobs or extra gizmos -- it takes just a few minutes to setup and load, and it plays great music. Even with a revA PB (USB 1.1) it did not take all that long to load the songs (I loaded 700 MB into my 1 Gig, keeping the rest of the space for use as a jumpdrive).

Just plugged it into my car's NewerTech radio converter, worked great. I think those are running $10 from OWC.

Apple's got a real winner on their hands -- all they need to do is sell one in pink (or yellow), and I know what I'm getting my daughter for her birthday!

I made the horrible mistake of ordering from MacMall on the 1/12 to tap into the free speakers deal that they are offering.

At that time, they were estimating shipping in 5-7 days. Just rec'd an email from them that shipping of the order is nowhere in sight yet.

i've already PMed you, but incase other kiwis are interested, i simply ordered from Apple NZ (http://www.apple.co.nz), shipping was $20NZD and any credit card is fine. It took about 5 days to arrive after ordering.

I ordered mine on 1/22/2005 after I got tired of calling the apple store everyday and then when they had them being sold out in the first 10 minutes, I just decided to order online, get free shipping and my student discount.

Still hasn't shipped. It says on or before 2/22/2005. Woweeeee, who can wait that long?

I really hope they ship before that, what has been the experience with that?

Thanks,

I was debating wether to go over there or not.

But I decided against it. I guess i'll just wait for my order, that way I can get the student discount and the ipod is only 139.99 save me a couple of bucks.

Thanks for your alert.

Yeah it came out to like $162 after tax. I was just getting impatient being on Amazon's wait list. I love it so far.

Thanks to rcitrin's post, today Best Buy has shipped the 1G Shuffle I ordered on 1/28 around 11:45pm. It's being overnighted.

Only thing that sucks is having to pay sales tax on an internet order.

Kansas City folks:

MicroCenter in Overland Park, KS at 93rd Metcalf has a healthy stock of Shuffles; both configurations. Just an FYI...

BestBuy.com is Sold Out on 1gb models; however some stores have stock and don't realize it.

skuId=7011841

Call your store 1st or if they're nearby, go in.

Most of their employees were clueless when we called, but we knew someone that always went the extra mile and found some in back.

I went on the Circuit City web site last night and checked to see if any iPod Shuffle's were in stock at the local store. They were not available for pick up but it did show that a 512 Shuffle was available for shipment. I went ahead and ordered it just in case the 1 GB that I ordered doesn't make it in time for me to give to the GF as a gift on Valentine's day. Well, I checked today and it has already shipped! I guess I'll have to use the 1 GB shuffle myself.

Circuit City still has the 1GB Shuffle in stock online. However, gotta pay sales tax, but the shipping is free.

I heard a rumor that the Microcenter in Houston has some in stock and people claim you can get a $75 rebate on the shuffle if you sign up for their Microcenter credit card.

Has anyone seen the shuffles at a B&M Circuit City or Target yet?
The BB around here is sold out and there is no Apple store or CompUSA and I want to see one in person before I order online.

Hi just to let you know the iPod shuffle is at Target now, I work at a Target, and they had a 1 gig in stock, here is the DPCI number which is the identifier number at target, you can call the electronics department and give them this number and tell them to check if they have any locations.

057 10 0625

I tried to find the 512 by going down on the DPCI like 24 or 23 and it came up not on file.

The Target I work at in Niles at Touhy and Lehigh has one left, last time I checked. I just got home from Work and school.

I am still waiting for mine to ship from Apple, on or before the 22nd. But yeah most electronics employees didn't know that we even had it.
