It's just too depressing. Getting murdered because you were reporting on a crowdfunded submarine. How ignominious.

So, back to disposing of your now dead body.
Apparently this makes the "perfect" object to pass down the generations.

Seems a cop can get canned. For manhandling a nurse, if not for shooting actual innocent people.

I haven't heard he actually got canned. He doesn't have blood duty anymore but is still a cop.

One of my peeves is fantasy artists who stick elephant-like tusks on animals because they look cool, but then don't think through how the mother****er is supposed to eat without a trunk.

even in the northeast, you are not supposed to kill a doe and fawn. There's a reason hunting season is the fall.

I'm really interested in learning more about the evasive maneuver Tesla cars while in auto-pilot do in these sort of accidents. In that sort of accident it really is a dice roll if people come out okay, it's a great opportunity for a smart machine learning system to take control.

That car swerved with no discernible warning. Not sure the machine would have seen it any sooner than a human driver in this instance.

I can see the machine catching it quicker, but not fast enough to do anything. Too much inertia to overcome.

However, it will be interesting to see how close they'll let the AI take a vehicle to the edge of its performance envelope. In theory, it should be able to perform evasive maneuvers that if a human tried, they'd flip the car. The AI can even push the envelope out, because it can tell the car what it's trying to do, and have it distribute power to the wheels accordingly, rather than have to guess what the monkey is thinking.

I wonder how the AIs are going to deal with the problem us monkeys have when we start to collide on the sidewalk. That thing where where the dodge gets cross-threaded.

At some point, the AI will be so sophisticated, it will call a personal injury lawyer for you even before the ambulance arrives.

Of course once everyone has an AI driver, they'll all talk to each other so they will each know where other nearby vehicles are intending to go and what manoeuvres they intend to make in advance. And of course they won't fall asleep, get drunk, do their makeup, play Pokémon Go or send text messages while driving so they will be many orders of magnitude more predictable to each other than we are.

You're just saying that so AIs from the future read it and think you're on their side.

Maybe I am. I like the idea of an AI chauffeur. People will get things done during their commute, parents on the school run can sit in back and have more quality time with the munchkins. Its all good.

Do you think it would be wise to program AIs to enjoy their work? How would you code digital Dopamine?
