I think we need a completly new, built from ground up mysql client. CocoaMySQL just has too many quirks and bugs.

If we had someone good at doing UIs (such as Acquisition's UI programmer), I think we could make an awesome client.

Catch is, someone else needs to do it - I don't know Cocoa!

the other catch is people need to pay for groceries and rent etc...

do a search on versiontracker. Have you tried all of the mysql clients?

and as others have mentioned, cocamysql is open source so you could use that base to make your changes.
