hello...

This may sound stupid but I got kinda bored so I kinda draw on my Pismo with a pencil eraser.... but when I try to whipe it off, the marking stays!!! I try to use a computer hood cleaner to clean it off but it doesn't come off! You can still see it... Does anybody know how to get it off? Thanks

I assume you mean you drew on the rubberized part, since I know from personal experience that erasers don't damage the hard plastic part... unfortunately I think you marred the rubber, and there is nothing you can do about it. Apple doesn't sell replacement rubberized panels (if they did I'd get one, too!).

Kinda stupid? No, just plain REALLY COOL
You may be able to use something like "Armor All" to cover it up though...

Scott

That's odd, cuz when my Pismo's rubber feet came off, I used an eraser to remove the old adhesive, and it didn't harm it at all...

I once tried using an eraser to remove some markings on my Epson Stylus 740 printer, and that created permanent marks on its plastics. I tried getting them off for a while (to no avail).

I hate to get into gritty details (you'll get the evil pun soon)

but is the eraser you used a white rubber eraser? or a pink type eraser? (like on the end of a pencil.)

If it is the latter, you have definitely marred your case perminantly. As the pink erasers have a sandy grit in them, which will scratch the plastic. If so, I would just do the same to the rest of the case... u kno, just blend it in

Blending in... It doesn't work with scratches.

Someone at my school scratched up the top of his PB because he had a scratch on it... Maybe you know him.

Shut your face dude.
For all you know he was accentuating the word by making the 'oo' sound longer.
Don't assume, or you'll make a moron out of yourself like you just did.
Not to mention remarks like that (semi-discriminatory) will NOT be tolerated in here.
I suggest you never post under that name again here if you're after something...

Not to mention he's making love to the CAPS LOCK KEY on his keyboard...d'uh.

Er, back on topic - I use a product called 'Goo-Gone' to get marks and other crud off my Pismo. It is a spray cleaner that does not contain alcohol or ammonia, and has a pleasant orange-y smell to it. So far, it's worked on everything I've thrown at it, although I do have to admit that I haven't tried using it on eraser marks (and am not about to start now).

Good luck,
//e

Well...after using it for after about a couple of weeks now, the mark seems to kinda went way for a little. I won't notice it unless I look at it very hard now...

Well, with time the entire wrist rest area gets rubbed smoother and smoother by your skin, I hadn't even thought of that before, but yeah, it'll probably get rubbed away eventually.
