Gee...I'm so glad I waited in line this morning and waited my turn for a nice, shiny 16GB iPhone.

It's so thrilling that, after waiting 1.5 years for this, I still get to wait even longer! Also, my old phone's SIM card was deactivated, therefore I'm left without a phone today.

Yeah, I know somebody who just dropped $927 on three iPhones and can't even use them.

Last time, they charged extra for buying early. This time, they're making your phone not work. Seems to be a good thing to wait a few weeks before buying an iPhone.

(I would have picked one up this morning if there weren't lines, but I'm not interested enough to spend hours waiting for it.)

Why do people go and stand in line for something like this anyway? It's an f-ing phone! Wait for a few days, at least... sheesh! We've managed to survive how many years without the iPhone 3G? Would another few days or week or so hurt? Are you guys the same guys that camp out outside of a movie theater to be first in line for tickets to a new highly anticipated movie as well?

Apple Store’s working fine here (and was, too, when Railroader posted that link)—but is anyone else getting error messages that “payment processing is not currently available” when trying to buy anything from the iTunes Store lately?

That'd be great if the only change they made was updating the iPod Touches to have cameras.

No, it wouldn't be great. My wife insisted on getting an iPod Touch a few weeks ago, even though I told her she'd be better off waiting until the cameras come. She's gonna be pissed if it gets a camera now!

A $699 Mini. Just what the world wanted.

The Mini is the only device in Apples lineup that keep goin up in price.

I can see the 2020 keynote now. Introducing the new mini. It's .5mm smaller. Just as crippled as before and comes at a magical price of $1,799. Keyboard and mouse and screen extra. Magical.

They need a new name for that new mini. Maybe the "mini Mac mini" or something.

The Apple Store is completely slashdoted.

Same here.
It always craps out while trying to communicate with AT&T. Shocking.

It can be, and it is. Ugh, why are Apple and AT&T making it so hard for me to give them more money?

The Apple Store has actually been down on and off since midnight pacific time. It was incredibly frustrating to try and pre-order an iPhone when I got home from work at 1:30AM.

Agreed. Particularly today because the store has been down all day long. I can't believe the ATT eligibility check servers are so underpowered.

It looks like that between HDMI and the mini DP it's actually capable of dual displays.

It's been capable of dual displays for a while. I imagine Apple outed this before the updated Apple TV for a reason.

And "garbage"? Hardly.

This is pretty much exactly what I was waiting for.
