Hi all!

Im new using machintosh, really new!

What are the steps to set up my network to work with a cable modem (Motorola Surfboard SB5100) to acess the internet?

Im using OS 8.1!

Welcome to the forums!

8.1? What machine are you using? You realize that's about 10 years old, right? You should have an ethernet cable connected from the modem and you'll need to set up TCP/IP. More details about your computer are required.
