I think with the release of the touch technologies patented in the iPhone we'll probably be seeing something like an iSlate replacing the MacBooks down the line.
A scaled up version of the iPhone would be awesome!!!!
That along with some of the slate touch technologoes Apple has patented and not used yet ... untouchable :-)

still, will be interesting to see 'multi-touch' and other new apple technologies work their way into macbooks...
for now, the modbook looks interesting, and am waiting for more pics, and reviews.

The technology is just to sweet for Apple not to integrate it into their Laptops ... I wouldn't say it's definately No :-)

I wish that I could convert my old 12" powerbook into a tablet (with a new battery). The 13" widescreen is a bit too big for a tablet, I think.
Hmm maybe I have a pet project when I get a new laptop.

That will probably happen when hell freezes over.

As an artist I'd like to know if it's the same resolution/sensitivity of at least an Intuos tablet or even a Clintiq screen. If it is, then that a definite sell for me. It's the perfect digital sketch book at that point and I can use it for digital coloring among other uses that a laptop just doesn't work for. I've looked at tablet PCs in the past and they just didn't have the pressure sensitivity that intuos tablets did. Hopefully this will.
