My friend and I, we're both on a wireless network. Is there a setting in Sharing we can use to share files back and forth between my iBook and his Compaq Presario 2100 Laptop?
Thanks.

RTFM.
That said, if you're using a recent release of OS X, it should be simple. Turn on windows file sharing on your ibook, and make sure he's sharing something, and that you both are on the same wifi subnet.

RTFM?
I got it going, but how does my friend access my computer from Windows XP? What does he have to do?
Thanks.

Open Mac Help and search for "how do I share files with Windows users". You will get step by step instructions.

Mac Help and Apple's Support page churns out excellent results. Here's how to set it up on Mac OS X: Setting up Windows File Sharing in Mac OS X. On the Windows side, it should be as simple as just navigating the Network Neighborhood (or My Network Places).
You'll have to be on the same workgroup, though. By default, both Mac and Windows are on the WORKGROUP workgroup.
