PROBLEM:

I've been using CS2 for a while, but had installed the Photoshop CS3 trial version earlier this year. I deleted it, because I couldn't afford the full version at the time.

OR at least I thought I had deleted it. Unfortunately I didn't run Adobe's uninstaller, and apparently there is some remnant of CS3 on my computer.

My office has now bought CS3 for our graphics studio team, and I cannot install CS3 because the installer says that every last little bit of CS3 must be uninstalled for me to install the Creative Suite (paraphrasing, of course).

Is there anything I can do? I really don't want to perform a clean install just so I can install CS3.

Try re-installing the original CS3, then uninstall.

And / or CS2 too.

I've had to do this with a couple of other apps.

Try searching the libraries and sub folders (2) for any trace, and remove.

Have you found the Adobe stuff in the root-level /Library/Application Support folder yet?

Adobe: We don't just hate our customers, we actually despise every fiber of their being!
I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.
