does anyone use one as a fileserver? headless, no keyboard, just running and as storage (and to look pretty)? obviously 1st boot i'll use a kbrd and monitor, but i'd load vnc or remote desktop to access it later

the obvious issue is disc space, with the small drive it will fill up fairly quick. i've been wondering if some smart company (or even apple) will introduce an external drive that matches the case of the mini, something you could stack and have look all nice a matching case with a couple sata drives in it, firewire hookup. sounds like a winning product to me

Well I have mine running OS X server and running a couple of websites off it. I also plan to run iTunes from it streaming and intend to have my iTunes rip right to the Mini over the network. Well I'm going to try anyway. I also have it drive sharing as well. I also have VNC installed on it and just remote into it when I need to.

I have mine running headless functioning as a web server. I use ssh and ARD to access it. Works great.

i have mine running tiger server (i am an adc member). its connected to my tv and stereo system. I have it acting as an OpenDirectory master, DNS, DHCP, Webserver, AFP server, itunes server, and iPhoto server. It runs great. I installed the Airport/bluetooth upgrade yesterday and use the apple bt keyboard and mouse. Works great!

I was able to get the upgrade kit from apple for $99. Due to my ADC NDA, and the fact that I am an Apple Consultants Network member, they sold it to me and allowed me to install it.
