Hi, I bought my MacBook two years ago and intended to use Boot Camp. I started to set it up but never finished doing so. I have had an 'untitled' hard drive logo below my Macintosh HD logo since then on the desktop. Now I want to remove it and recover the memory but can't. I tried a few suggestions from previous threads but none have worked. I tried going into Utilities and Boot Camp but it has expired or something because nothing comes up when I click it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

In case all repartitioning solutions fail this will work although it does take a while

• attach an external FW drive
• Use /Applications/Utilities/DiskUtility > Restore to clone your main partition to the external FW HDD
• boot from the clone
• format and repartition your internal HDD
• clone back to the internal
• boot from the internal disk again

The Bootcamp beta expired before the release of Leopard. A work around for this is to change the date to something before September 2007.

Yep, I can confirm that: the pre-Leopard Bootcamp betas expired on Dec. 31, 2007. Set your date back before that date and you can launch it, then restore your clock to today's date. Works like a charm.

Thanks for te advice about changing the date on the Boot Camp... but how do I do that? When I click on the BC assistant it just tells me that the BC Beta assistant has expired.

You have to change your Mac's clock.
