apple only has single proc refurb'd g5 machines for 2099 US. 3000 can is roughly 2200 us.

No, Apple has been selling refurbished Dual 1.8's for $1999. They only appear in the list when they're in stock.

THEY won't actually do it, but your friend in the US can, and label it as a gift when shipping it to you
