Hey all,

I've had this problem on and off for a while with most of my ipods. Basically what happens is when I try to re-sync my ipod after I restore it the syncing process freezes either after 100ish songs, or just eventually while its going. Its super frustrating becase I have over 3700 songs and when I wipe my ipod and start to re-transfer my songs it just hangs at a random song and then I cant cancel the transfer or anything and I just have to disconnect the pod and plug it back in. Sometimes this makes the ipod corrupt or something and I have to re-restore it and try it all over. This is super annoying because I cant just let the ipod update all my songs by itself because it will freeze.

Any suggestions?

Thanks guys!

Justin

does it also react slowly when playing songs? i had the same problem where my ipod would freeze during syncing. sometimes after 5 songs othertimes after 100 songs. after trying several solutions the conclusion was a faulty harddisk. i tried zero fill with disk utility which didn't work. then i tried a surface 5scan with techtools pro, which gave around 500 bad sectors in the first 5%.

conclusion: i think its the harddisk
