So my black MacBook showed up from the refurb store today. I ordered the 512/80 configuration, and it turns out theres 1GB, rather than 512MB installed. The last time I ordered from the refurb store, I ordered a 12" PB with 512MB and it came with 768MB instead. I'm 2 for 2 on these favorable mistakes. How often does this sort of thing happen?

still lucky though, you just saved about 50 bucks right there.

Hope my core duo 1.83ghz comes with 2GB, a modded motherboard with a ati radeon x1600 with 256 mb video ram, a upgraded unreleased 2.33GHz quad core processor and a 200 GB hard drive @ 10000 rpm. Preloaded with iWork06, MS word 2004, modded in with a blu-ray drive.

There are some posts on other forums that list free upgrades through the refurb section.. appears to happen with a decent frequency.. mostly ram upgrades.. but occasionally hard drive ones as well.
