I have the macbook 2GHZ intel with a gig of ram. Do you guys thinks it's possible to use bootcamp to boot windows and run battlefield 2? Anybody have any luck with that? I was also wondering how well battlefield 1942 and Desert Combat run on the macbook. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I did a search, but nothing on battlefield 2.

Battlefield 1942 will run very well, as will Desert Combat. With Battlefield 2, you will be able to run it, but not at very high settings.

Would you say it's worth playing, or is it better to just play desert combat? Thanks for the help!

I play Battlefield (Desert Combat) a lot on my 24" iMac (7600GT) and I also have Battlefield 2.
Even in Battlefield 2 I can max out all graphic settings and play it with 1920x1200 resolution with a little hack (google is your friend).
But I did not yet get used to all the differences between Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2 and therefore prefer the old Battlefield!
There is also a Mod for B2 that is very similar to Desert Combat which is called Desert Storm - the visual experience is just great! So much better than B1942 but some maps need ages to load and then you have to explore the whole map before you can get a decent, playable framerate!

Oh, I forgot to add that Battlefield 2 is probably way to much for the MacBook graphic chip!! I'm not sure if you can play it with decent framerates or if you will see anything of the advanced graphics!?!

It's definitely not worth it. Desert Combat all the way.
