Massive enlargement of everything! how do I turn it off?

this actually happend to me some time ago but I can't find the thread w the answer
its now hapened to a friend of mine and Id like your help to help him!
He may be sleeping outside on a couch if we cant help him!!

System Preferences -> Universal Access.
Might be accidentally triggered if you have a mouse with scroll wheel and you hold in the ctrl-key while scrolling.

Also, command-option-8 will turn the zoom feature off altogether.

I think ctrl-mouse wheel is the most common "htf did i do that".

It's actually holding the cmd key while using the mouse wheel that zooms the display in and out, not ctrl. But yes, you can disable this in Universal Access.

No, it's actually Control by default. You have to modify the setting to be Command.

Also, it can be disabled or modified in the Mouse system prefs too.

I've just noticed that it is no longer possible to ever so slightly zoom your display by a few pixels anymore. If you do so, when you next move your mouse it automatically resets the display to fit to the screen ....

Since when? I've never touched Universal Access and it's always been cmd.

Since forever. I've never touched it either and it's Control on each one of the five Macs in my office.

By Default it is Control and Scroll Wheel/Two finger swipe on the Track Pad.

This is new, and it will resolve a fair bit of customer confusion.
