Do I actually have to worry about disabling the macro warning? Won’t the sandbox keep a bad macro, well... sandboxed?

What sandbox? If you mean Can Excel Macros affect your OS installation?, then probably no. There should be enough tripwires in there to protect you. Macros can certainly affect your Excel installation, stick in the settings and infect every other file you open, though.
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.
