Join the club... I found a few white hairs around 12 months ago and pulled 3 or 4 out...

I gave up when I counted ten one day...

No grey hair yet but I got two grey 'stipes' running down the beard when I don't shave for a bit.

The chicks dig it.

grey hair is better than no hair. i'm glad mine is going grey, rather than falling out (contrary to the opinion of some canadian nonce who seems to think i'm bald).

I found my first grey pubic hair the other day.

It was in my Big Mac.

Sorry, I saw that on bash.org and thought it was fitting.

I've had grey hair now for over 20 years. It is very distinctive. A sign of maturity. Something that we have no control over just like being bald. I have kept all of my hair. I prefer to leave it all natural.

I got my first grey hair when I was about 8. It's still there, just one or two single hairs that are grey while all the others are kind of reddish.

I started getting a few on the sides last year, and I don't really care I guess. My brother, who is about 11 years older than me, has quite a few, and he doesn't look too bad.

I was thinking the same thing. How old is considered old? Because Although I'm in my mid 20's I have a few grey hairs due to stress I think.

first of all... how old is "old". i'm 32, and i guess that could be ancient compared to some of the kiddies around here. but i in no way consider myself old, even though i do have a few greys. anyway, i'm kinda looking forward to getting greyer, i like how it looks.

Well, when I say 'old', I mean in a relative way... I'm 26, 27 this year.

Noticed a fair few more grey hairs since I first posted! I'm claiming 'distinguished'...

Doesn't bother me at all, just a bit of a shock... also nice to see that I'm not alone!

Is grey hair really caused by stress or is that just a common misconception?

I've had some grey hair since I was about 11.

>shrug<

It's only in a few spots, and it isn't even a spot, it's just hair that has no color.

My theory: hair turns grey due to overexposure to static electricity in the atmosphere

If you are getting grey hair at a early age (teens early 20s) it can be from stress, or heredity.

If you start to get it in your 30s and 40s, it's from the aging process.

last time i got my hair cut, the lass who cut it said "salt & pepper hair is sexy, all grey isnt". this was an aveda institute place where they train future hair stylists and youre NOT allowed to tip.

grey isn't a big deal.
besides, you can always dye your hair. i had a few here and there, now they're all red.
take that aging process (and/or stress) !!

The salt and pepper look is cool, all white does make you look old though. White streaks in womens hair looks cool.

I think I found my first grey hair when I was about 26 or so. And it was on my chest, which kind of freaked me out. I'm 32 now, and the sides of my head are getting pretty grey. It doesn't really bother me, as I keep it buzzed down to nothing anyway, but I do keep having this feeling I'm going to end up looking like Paulie Walnuts on The Sopranos. Has anyone else noticed that grey hair seems to grow faster?

I've had grey ( white hairs ) since I was like 12. I suppose it's common amongst fair / red haired individuals.

Anyway, I could care less, and all the ladies seem to find it perfectly fine, if not sexy. Now if the GF sees a grey hair, I tend to leave the room as quickly and quietly as possible.
