Has anyone found a Neoprene carrying case for the MacBook Pro yet? I am looking for one in black. I cannot seem to find anyone carrying it for the MBP, yet.

Thanks.

The very thin one. Probably the sheet version.

Is it a SecondSkin folder or is it an actual case?!

I was looking at that as well, but I could not find any info if it would fit the MacBook Pro. How tight is the case? Would the zipper cause scratches on the MBP in the long run? How much does the case have to stretch to fit the slightly different dimensions of the MBP?

I was thinking about getting that case, but I wanted to veify it with someone who actually has both the inCase case and the MBP.

...and just o make sure, are you talking about this case:

I have a Marware sleeve for my 15" Powerbook, which I'm very happy with. I'm sure it would still fit over the Macbook Pro.

Looks like the apple store only has the 'green' color version of the Incase sleeve for the MacBook Pro. And did anybody bought this ? and if so how'z it fitting in ?
Do they have the 'black' color version of this sleeve?

How about Waterfield Designs MBP Sleeve? I received mine over the weekend and it's a perfect fit. The construction and quality is top notch.

Make sure you get one for the MBP--it'll be snug in one for a 15" PB.

I recommend Waterfielf Designs--first class customer service, very nice products.

If you go with the Waterfield Designs, it's the size 25 on the drop down chart.

+1 for Waterfield. Really like mine - have had them for a 17", a 12" and now my 15".

I really like that you can choose which side of it has the opening.

another vote for Gary and the gang at Waterfield Designs. Wife and I both have sleeves that are about 2 years old and still looks and functions great.

Incase Neoprene Sleeve for MacBook Pro

I bought a MBP the other day at the Montgomery County Mall Apple store. They sold me one of the black ones with it, and it fits fine.

I have the black inCase one as well. Originally intended for the 15" Powerbook. Yes it is a bit snug, but no it won't scratch the MBP (the zippers) unless you are really careless.

I sometimes unwrap my MBP from the inCase and set the case on my lap and the MBP on the case.

Do they have any MBP-specific cases or sleeves yet at Apple Stores?

I have not seend a MBP specific one at our store in Jacksonville, FL. But really, the 15" Powerbook one fits fine. I've put it on and taken it off at least 100 times so far and not a scratch.

I chose marware but in a 17" model. You're asking but why? Well....
its only to protect it from dust, period. Maybe an accidental spill, but
strictly home use. The 17" allows it to breathe and at 15.4" the 15" version
is too snug for my taste. At 17" its about half an inch on both sides.
As for mobile protection use - thats where my brenthaven comes in or when
it comes in.

I tried using the InCase PB 15 case for the my MBP and found the fit way too snug. It requires some effort to "squeeze" the MBP in and out of the case.

Apple's online store has the 'Incase Neoprene Sleeve for MacBook Pro' which they claim fits the MBP. It's $29.95. Just do a search for 'sleeve macbook pro'.

I just purchased a "Incase" carrying case from Apple for my G-4 1.67. It is nice and stretches some. Is the Pro larger the G4 Ti PB? Take a look at the Apple store on the web.

I use a Bitolithic neoprene case. It's a fantastic deal because it comes with a smaller neoprene bag to stick your poweradapter in, as well as a cloth to protect the screen from keyboard oils. All this for $35USD, if memory serves.

I had one bad experience with a Waterfield (would apply to any neoprene sleeve)— I had this metal luggage tag (gift from work) in my backpack, and it put a nice dent (very little) in the old 12'.

I would use something with hard sides, like a Booq (which I use). See if they have any that fit the MacBook Pro. For horizontal orientation, try the Acme case. Again, I don't know if this is available for the MacBook Pro, but I imagine the dimensions are pretty similar.

Just FYI.
