i'm using OE, with 9.2.2, and want to update it (having quirky problems currently); so i'd like to delete it, prefs, etc

BUT

where does outlook store my addresses & email? (i need to keep that)

(i cant find it... )

Download v5.06. Open it and go to Help: Outlook Express Help. There you will find a rather involved method of exporting materials from your old version to the desktop, and then importing them into v5.06.

It's all in one file, the "Database" file inside of the Identities folder in the documents folder. You can delete the application and the prefs and this won't touch your email or addresses.
