An interesting trivia bit is that whenever the Cardinals won the series in a presidential election year (1944, 1964), a Democrat also won the White House.
When the Cardinals lost the Series in a presidential election year (1928, 1968), a Republican won the White House.

The Cardinals got swept by the Sox so I guess Bush will win in a landslide.

I would think that Bush's policies have proven far more benneficial to Islamic extremists. If they were registerred, they would not want a good thing to end.

Why? They seem to have a blast (pun not intended) in Iraq.

Remember that since the Red Sox actually won it all this year, it's entirely possible that we're living in Bizzaro World now, and all these scientific trends that you all cite will actually turn out to be the reverse of what we expect!

They are. I have no idea what these others are talking about. If Redskins lose, Kerry wins supposedly.

But dreilly1 has a good point.

I just saw this quote. It's from a Salon article, but I can't be troubled to look it up:

Consider this: Every time the Boston Red Sox win the World Series in a presidential election year, Woodrow Wilson gets elected president. You can look it up: 1912 and 1916. Now the Sox have done it again. What's it mean? You read it here first: Woodrow Wilson in a landslide!
I think Woody would be a better choice than either of these two idiots, even if he is dead. Just dig 'em up!

I think Bush is going to win this Election. I'll explain why.

Kerry is like the Yankees. They were favored to win the World Series and they didn't. ALso Many people expected them to win. All of a sudden out of No where the Red Sox who were considered the Underdog came out from no where to pull it out. Bush right now by many is considered the underdog. Therefore as it would happen Bush should win the election. Because this year has been the year of the underdog.

I hate bush as much as the next guy, but I have never heard anyone call him the underdog.

frankly, isn't that the way the 2 parties believe?

Democrats: anything is possible (equal rights, freedom of speech etc)

Republicans: The end is near (ie last judement, so why conserve fuel, ecology etc)
