gomanute learned long ago not to eat Japanese food. Not because it causes him to bite his tongue, but because he cannot stomach it.

Instead of hating the sushi, let the sushi be your friend. Be nice to the sushi and the sushi will be nice to you.

I have always been curious. Are humans the only animal that can accidentally bite their own tongue? I took a nice chunk out of my cheek once; that sucker smarted.

No, we're not. Our klutz of a dog has done it several times.

Of course, if he didn't absolutely have to gulp down two pounds of dog food in 3.6 seconds, he might not have this problem, but what can you do when your IQ is resting nicely somewhere around -10?

If sushi is raw fish, would biting one's tongue be considered eating raw meat?

Isn't there a name for raw meat? I cannot remember it.

I'm a bird. I am the 1% (of pets).

How does whether or not sushi is raw fish have anything to do with whether or not biting your own tongue is eating raw meat???

Understand this I do not.

Maybe it's because, both can be injurious to your health!

When I fell of my bike, and landed on my face, I bit through my bottom lip and other stuff. The nurse I saw told me that cuts inside the mouth heal up much quicker because of your saliva. So it shouldn't bug you for too long.

Now eat slower you greedy pig.
