Whenever a lot of people die, or some major catastrophy goes down, somebody says in a somber tone.. "the world will never be the same again" Oh yea? Thanks for the update Einstein, the world changes all the time, catastrophy or not. I hope people realize it's a stupid thing to say and will stop it after reading my thread.

Oh yea.. after you read this the world will never be the same again.

I also hate people who say, "You always find what you're looking for in the last place you look."
No sh*t, Sherlock. Why would I go on looking in other places after I've found what I was looking for?!?

The thing that annoys me the most is when after you ask somebody a question, the person you are speaking to will say "What?" and then immediately answer the question. For example:

ManOfSteal: "Hey gorickey, what'ts up? How are you today?"

gorickey: "What?"

gorickey: "Oh, I'm fine, thanks for asking."

I can relate, but I believe this is because the brain takes a couple seconds to sort out what was said when you catch them offguard or they just catch the tail end - then they get it when it's unjumbled.

I hate it when people start a sentence with the word "honestly."

What, are they lying to us all the rest of the time???

I know, but it's just like "things will never be the same." OF COURSE THEY WON'T!

Just thought I'd add it, since this was a rant thread.

I do that sometimes. But only because I am deaf in my right ear, and usually don't hear it right away. I soon after figure it out but not until I say "what?" first.

It's probably just a habit.

gomanute cannot stand it when people forget to log out of joke accounts before posting something serious on the MacNN Forums.

I say that all the time because I think it's a funny saying for the same point you mentioned.
What I hate happens a lot at work. I work at a deli and the conversation usually goes like this:
Me - "Hi there, have you been helped yet?"
Customer - "Yea, I'll have the..."
When I feel ornery I'll just walk away.

My wife says "What?" so often to me that my bird is saying it too.
