All my SMS dissapeared 4S now shows "Messages (-1)"

After backing up the 16GB iPhone 4S (iOS 5.0.1) all my Messages are gone.

What is more when I try to send a SMS to any number the Messages app quits to the home screen. Messages app works when sending iMessage

Anyone have a solution to this problem?

(Sorry. Have you tried restoring from the last backup, restored to the computer through Time Machine?)

Is your iPhone jailbroken and are you using more than one sms app? SMS reads -1 new messages... can't get rid of it

Phone is not jailbroken nor does it use a 3rd party SMS app
